What does Cutting vs. Shearing mean? |
| |
Answer: Cutting and Shearing are the two ways you can "Cut" hair. The difference primarily stems in the damage that is caused to the hair afterward. When hair is Sheared (sheared with traditional edges), the result is a very rough and damaged cut. Often this results in frizz, split ends, and other hair damage.
When hair is Cut (EdgeDART Cutting edges), the end of the hair is left even, clean, and undamaged. This won't lead to the undesired results as listed above from shearing.

Why do my shears feel "choppy"? |
| |
Answer: RazorCUTz Shears are considerably lighter, often weighing half or less of other shear brands. With this light weight, also comes added feedback during cutting. This feedback allows stylists to "feel" the cut, and as such may be referred to as "choppy" by some. Many stylists prefer this added feel, because it allows them to cut more quicker and more accurately.

What is the faint "clicking" sound I hear when I close my RazorCUTz? |
| |
Answer: RazorCUTz have eliminated the traditional rubber bumper found on other shear brands. As such, the stop in our ShortCORE technology was implemented, and a "click" was added. This audible click is there to help stylists retrain their muscles to prevent "overclosing". With the elimination of overclosing, the audible click is rarely heard and stylists find that their hands are less fatigued after cutting.
